International Baccalaureate
The main aim of the International Baccalaureate is to develop caring, informed and inquisitive young people. Our students will be able to contribute towards a better and more peaceful world through mutual understanding and intercultural awareness.

Through the organisations cooperation with schools, governments and international groups, the school is able to develop challenging worldwide programs with rigorous assessment methods, and achieve its main objective.

These programs encourage students all over the world to adopt an active learning attitude that will last a lifetime. The student grow into compassionate individuals who are accepting of others perspectives.

The IB Diploma Program, aimed at young people between 16 and 19, is a demanding yet balanced educational program with final exams. The IB is an excellent way of preparing students for university and adult life. Designed to address mental, social, emotional and physical health as well as caring for the well-being of students. The program is recognised and respected by prestigious universities all over the world.

How does International Baccalaureate work?
The International Baccalaureate programme consists of six areas of knowledge.
The student is obliged to choose one subject from each area. Subjects are either higher or medium level, depending on the weekly teaching hours applied to that class.

Each student should choose their subjects in accordance with the University degree they wish to study.

  • In the extended essay students carry out a detailed independent investigation regarding a topic that relates to one of the Diploma Program subjects. The Contemporary World Studies extended essay option allows students to focus on a topic of global significance, using at least two Diploma Program subjects as their framework.
  • Theory of Knowledge develops a clear approach to learning by conjoining academic disciplines. This critical thinking course allow students to inquire into the nature of knowledge and deepen their understanding of knowledge as a human construction.
  • Creativity, Action and Service (CAS) involves students that partake in a range of activities alongside their academic studies. This continues for the duration of the Diploma Program. Creativity encourages students to engage in the arts and creative thinking. Action seeks to develop a healthy lifestyle through physical activity. Service with the community facilitates a new learning experience with academic value. The three branches of CAS enhance students’ personal and interpersonal development through experiential learning as well as providing an insight into their journey of self-discovery.
